  • Intensive English Examination Courses from January to October from 16 Years of Age.
  • Intensive English Examination Courses from March to June from 16 Years of Age.

- January to October:

Minimum age: 16 years
Intensive English Course dates:
from January to early October  
Course duration:
from 2 weeks
English level:
from Elementary to Proficiency (CEFR Level A2 - C2) (No beginners)
Courses include Mondays to Fridays:
  • 15 hours of English language tuition per week
    + 7.5 hours per week of weekly electives from the following options:
    English for conversation
    English for hospitality and tourism
    English preparation for examinations
    English skills for work
Example English Class times:
  • 09.00 – 10.30, 11.15 – 12.45 and 13.30 – 15.00 hours
Course contents:
  • Structured course programme covering the 4 basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing
  • Emphasis on grammar in context, vocabulary and syntax
  • Regular progress assessments
+ Evening Entertainment:
Selection from: Aeroball, Bingo, Competitions, Conversation Club, Dance Classes, Discos, Films, Karaoke, Live Music, Pantomime, Quiz Games, Sports Activities, Talent Shows, Internet Access and Yoga
Accommodation options:
College accommodation with half-board from January to late June and from late August to early October
or
Homestay accommodation with half-board from January to early October



- March to June:

Depending on the student’s level of English, they can sit the following examinations:
Cambridge KET, PET, FCE , CAE and CPE.
Additionally students can sit the Trinity examinations in English for communication and or for the TOEIC examination.  
For business English the BEC Preliminary, Vantage or Higher examinations.
Examinations take place in early June (see fee-sheet for exact dates).
To take a Cambridge Examination course, students need to complete a pre-test, so that they can be classed in the correct level.

  • 22.5 hours of English language tuition and examination preparation per week

  • 09.00 – 10.30, 11.15 – 12.45 and 13.30 – 15.00 hours
Course contents:
  • Structured course programme covering the four basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing
  • Emphasis on grammar in context, vocabulary and syntax
  • Specialised preparation for all examination papers
  • Examination techniques
  • Regular practice tests for all examination papers
  • Individual tutorials
  • Guided homework sessions
+ Evening Entertainment:
